ABOUT

Life & Career

I grew up in beautiful Rajasthan, India, and was brought up within the greenery of an elite campus of Mayo college. l was fortunate enough to be surrounded with many possibilities to learn different sports and art forms. I was particularly fond of athletics, swimming, polo and golf and l broke several local records (running and swimming) which remain unbeaten until today! Besides sports, I often took first place in Debating, which introduced me to that marvellous feeling of being on stage. Towards my teens, I started focusing on Squash and tried to volunteer for as many theatre productions and photoshoots l could get my hands on. I eventually became a National Squash Player and went to present India on British Open, Juniors in 2009. Afterwards, l focused on competing across international tournaments and coaching younger generations. However, once l hit my 24th, l sensed that l crave for arts. So l paused my Squash career and went to the South of India and spent next five years studying and working in Theatre. I never fully gave up on squash during these ''artsy years'' and continued to give occasional private coaching lessons and intense Squash camps with the Indian Navy. Recently, l relocated to the Netherlands to join my partner, a passionate researcher. I enjoyed learning about the local sports and arts scene and exchanging knowledge with various institutions here, such as USVA Groningen, ARTEZ academy and various private Squash clubs and student associations where l help organizing events and provide coaching lessons. I am looking forward to further projects and meeting more future students!
